Born in 1970, Palermo.
After studying the Classics, Beninati entered the Faculty of Law at Palermo University. In 1990 he began studying film at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia Roma, where he worked as an assistant director until 1994. He then moved to London, where he began painting full-time. Beninati currently lives and works in Campagnano Romano, a small village outside of Rome.
Beninati "...paints forests that seem to have come from a dream and figures that get lost between stains of color."
While admiring his work, one recognizes a very specific and immediately comprehensible language, not only because he deals with figurative painting, but also with elements that are of another nature. one recognizes references to Antonio Ligabue and Italo Calvino when viewing his work.
