Michael De Brito - (b. 1980) American, received his BFA from Parsons School of Design in 2003. He continued his studies at the New York Academy of Art and the Salmagundi Artists Club. Mr. De Brito is a recent recipient of a Pollack-Krasner Foundation Grant and has been awarded gold medals by the Allied Artists of America, Audubon Artists of American and the Society of Illustrators. His work was chosen to be included in the 2006 BP Exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London and the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh. Mr. De Brito is of Portuguese descent and the members of his close knit family are often the inspiration for of his work. There is great maturity to his technique and the profound connection to his subject matter make his paintings both
